Elk Hunting with York Outfitters

Our Elk hunts are done in the back country with horses and mules.

We have an early September hunt with any weapon when the bulls are bugling.

We do our guided hunts from our base camp. Hunt from horse back and or take vehicle out on road and hike into some of our great areas for hunting elk in.  Our semi guided hunts are also done from base camp. Our drop camps are anywhere from 2 to 5 hrs in on horseback to a camp sites that is already set up ready to go when you arrive in camp.  The Idaho department of Fish and Game harvest data shows our hunting unit 17 & 16A is one of the top 10 units for 6+ point bulls in the state. Our average bulls are 5 and 6 point bulls scoring from 250 t0 320 class bulls. In our camps we do not shoot spike bulls. Any branch antler bull is legal to harvest.

We offer Bow, Muzzleloader, and rifle hunts.
