Idaho Whitetail and Mule Deer Hunting

York Outfitters offers Whitetail and Mule Deer HuntsWe can do Archery Whitetail deer hunts in the wilderness from our base camp but prefer you to hunt with a rifle.

We conduct Rifle Whitetail and Mule deer hunts in unit 17 the Nez Perce National Forest and in the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness

We hunt our resident Mule Deer & Whitetail as a combination with our Elk hunts or individually in the late season with any weapon. Hunts can be done in sept but prefer to do just deer hunting only in the month of November. Our deer hunts are fully guided. Hunts are done by spot and stalk hunting method. We do a lot of glassing to locate mature bucks. Average size for our Mule deer is in the 140 to 160 class bucks with some going close to 200 inches. Our whitetail bucks on average from 120 to 140 class bucks with some going into the 170+ range.  The general deer tag is good for either mule deer or whitetail. We hunt Bucks only but have no size requirement.
