Our Spring Black Bear Hunts are adventurous and exciting in a unique way.
We use a Tucker Snow Groomer to smooth 30 miles over a snow covered, 7,150 foot pass to get to our base camp at 3,900 feet to a paradise in the wilderness.
Make your plans to hunt spring bear in the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness area of Central Idaho.
Color phase black bears average 65% of the kill. Includes Cinnamon, Blonde and Chocolate.
We have several hunting options:
-
Spot and Stalk
-
Using bait.
-
The bears come in many different color variations ranging from blonde, cinnamon shades, and black.
Spring Bear hunting in these Selway Bitterroot mountain areas has a definite challenge. We must cross over the Green Mountain Pass at 7,150 feet. Once over the pass, there is virtually no one for 40 miles in any direction or more.
Peace – Quiet – Tranquility – and lots of Bears!
